October is National Physical Therapy Month, and we want to share more about who we are and what we do.
What is “Performance Physical Therapy” at Outside Movement PT? Performance PT is a whole body, performance/outcome, goal-driven approach. Compared to standard PT we treat your whole body and discuss lifestyle factors that may influence how your body feels. Our goal is not only to manage and alleviate symptoms (pain) but to guide you to be stronger and more resilient. This approach often looks more like training/coaching.
We believe in educating/empowering you to understand what is going on with your body, why you are experiencing discomfort and teach you how to fix the problem for the long term. By discussing sleep, nutrition, hydration, stress management, etc., we want to help you build the best version of yourself.
We believe as humans we are all athletes, and PT should prepare you to have a strong and capable body, ready to tackle whatever your day-to-day or recreational endeavors present.
